Ian D. Crabb, M.D.

IanCrabbDr. Crabb is currently the Chief Medical Officer of the Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital. His practice focuses on complex surgical problems of the hand, wrist and upper extremity. His practice also includes general orthopaedics such as total joint replacement and knee surgery.

Dr. Crabb trained at the University of Rochester, Department of Orthopedics where he completed a fellowship in bone and mineral research. He is a graduate of the New York University School of medicine where he was President of his class. He was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha and was the recipient of the Siegle Award for academic excellence.

Dr. Crabb served in the United States navy as an orthopaedic surgeon. He spent two years as Department Head of Orthopaedics at Navy Hospital, Naples, Italy. He subsequently was assigned to San Diego Naval Medical Center as Staff Hand Surgeon and Director of Knee Surgery.

In 2005, Dr. Crabb was selected for the prestigious Leadership Fellows Training for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Crabb is currently the Nebraska representative to the AAOS Board of Councilors.

Dr. Crabb's memberships include the American Association of Hand Surgery, the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgery, the Omaha Medical Society, and the Nebraska Medical Society. He is Board Certified through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

Dr. Crabb's clinical team includes his physician assistant, Kandice Dolesh, and his nurse, Marcos.
